What if citizens could have a seat at the table when laws and regulations are being written? And what if countless self-employed professionals could share their input and experiences — exactly when needed — within the walls of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment (SZW)?

Step into the world of a civil servant and experience how digital characters convey the perspectives of citizens. Parai, in collaboration with SZW, developed an interactive experience based on interview input, creating well-founded digital characters that can participate in meetings within the ministry.

During this workshop, you’ll get to interact with them yourself and experience how the ministry is experimenting with new ways of engaging with signals from society in the future.

Parai is a start-up that emerged directly from research conducted during our graduation at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft. There, we discovered the potential impact that new technology can have on society. In collaboration with the public sector, we explore how technologies such as AI can contribute to more human-centred decision-making.
