Co/Labs
Co/Labs are guided design collaborations where challenge owners – from governments to businesses – and experts collaborate with creative thinkers and doers. We help them translate challenges into concrete design questions and facilitate their collaboration. At the same time, designers have the opportunity to immerse themselves in ambitious complex issues and receive support throughout the process.
Connected Energy
In this Co/Lab, Vattenfall explores together with designers, thinkers and makers how energy can be organised at neighbourhood level in a collective, affordable and connecting way.
Tech Talent Unlocked
In collaboration with Stichting Jeugd & Beroep, we are exploring in this Co/Lab how young people (ages 9–14) can be introduced to a future in technology in a positive and engaging way.
Circular Energy Grid
Alliander invites designers to join a new Co/Lab to explore how circular thinking and doing can become the norm within the energy infrastructure of the future.
Silent wisdom as a foundation for tomorrow
The Netherlands has around 63,000 national monuments, and at least as many provincial and municipal monuments. These places contribute to the beauty, history, and identity of our country. But their value does not lie in the past alone.
Rethinking Waste
In samenwerking met Wahu verkent dit Co/Lab nieuwe mogelijkheden om het afvalinzamelingssysteem in Indonesië te verbeteren.
Innovating our defense with society
Safety is a responsibility of society as a whole. It is important that people feel the urgency and have a concrete way to contribute to peace and safety in society, because after all, it concerns our future together. In this Co/Lab, the Ministry of Defence, together with design studio Muzus, is looking for ways to reveal and activate the hidden potential of collaboration with society.
Caring Neighbourhoods
With increasing demand for care and limited growth in the care workforce, a new approach is essential. This lab focuses on the role of care professionals in the future where communities where residents support one another take more shape.
Coalition for Safety
Our system of public safety and justice is under pressure. Prisons are overcrowded, the courts are slowing down, and there are no simple solutions. How can we make choices when even small changes can have major effects on people and society?
