Vacancy: MarCom Project Manager – Dutch Design Foundation

Job title: MarCom Project Manager
Location: Eindhoven / hybrid
Hours: 32 hours per week
Language: Dutch (native)

Deadline: 15 March 2026

We are optimists

We believe in the problem-solving power of designers and offer them opportunities, support, visibility and a platform. By showing how designers around the world are shaping a positive future, we strengthen their position and significance far beyond the Netherlands. We do this by organising Dutch Design Week (DDW), Coalitions, Dutch Design Awards, Co/Labs and PONT. Dutch Design Foundation (DDF) is a non-profit organisation with a Managing Director and a Supervisory Board.

About your role

As MarCom Project Manager, you are in charge of all MarCom output of DDF on a daily base. You are the central connector who translates the annual marcom calendar into concrete actions, clear deadlines and high-quality output. You oversee the bigger picture, safeguard budgets and ensure that specialists such as content managers and designers deliver at the right time. You are the linking pin between the internal client and the marcom team.

Who are we looking for?

Organisational talent: You thrive on a full schedule and never lose overview, even during the peak period of DDW.
Strong communicator: You are a confident sparring partner for internal clients and communicate priorities clearly. You are comfortable addressing people about deadlines and pushing back if a project brief lacks clarity.
Accurate: Perfect execution is your standard, from a flawless guest list to a thoroughly tested newsletter.
Affinity with design: You understand the world in which DDF operates and can translate this into the right content and presentation.

Key tasks and responsibilities

Project management and planning

  • Direction of the annual calendar: You manage the integrated marcom planning for DDF, including DDW, Dutch Design Awards and Co/Labs.
  • Process monitoring: You create a timeline for each project and ensure materials are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Stakeholder management: You request timely briefings from the internal client, inform them about deadlines and schedule meetings to present concepts and materials.
  • Capacity planning: You identify bottlenecks in workload, coordinate the weekly planning of colleagues such as the content manager and advise Senior Leads on the need for external support in copy, photography or audio.
  • Reporting: You present the updated workload during weekly team meetings.

Digital platforms and content management

  • Website management: You are responsible for the content updates of ddw.nl and dutchdesignfoundation.com, not the technical side.
  • Updates: You ensure pages are up to date, from the annual calendar and participant information to specific sections such as Design Tours and DDW Young.

Email marketing and events

  • Campaign execution: You create newsletters and direct mailings in Mailchimp or Brevo, test them and manage distribution for all DDF labels.
  • Event management: You coordinate the full invitation process, including Save the Date and reminders. You set up the event tool and monitor guest lists in close collaboration with the CRM Manager.
  • Copywriting: You write clear service emails and texts for various audiences such as DDW participants and visitors.

Support and coordination

  • Presentation and design: You create key presentations for DDF and provide the team with the appropriate templates.
  • Grants and funding: You coordinate specific marcom obligations arising from European partnerships and grants.
