The 2025 jury brings together a wide range of disciplines: architect Samir Bantal, Director at AMO, working at the intersection of spatial design, society, and technology; artist and designer Sabine Marcelis, together with Paul Cournet, architect and founder of CLOUD; Johan Kramer, film and advertising director at Holy Fools and co-founder of creative agency KesselsKramer; Nathalie van Sasse van Ysselt, a Los Angeles–based creative director involved in design and experience events such as Sphere in Las Vegas, HUB Montréal, and OFFF Barcelona; and Guillaume Schmidt, co-founder of streetwear label Patta, internationally recognized for its cultural and social impact.
“With this fantastic mix of people, we are bringing together different disciplines and perspectives. From fashion and technology to social innovation and storytelling, it’s precisely in this diversity that the power of design lies today.”
The open call launched on August 26, 2025, via the DDA website. Designers can apply or be nominated until Monday, September 15 at 11:59 PM (CEST). The selection criteria can be found here. On Saturday, October 18, at the start of the 25th Dutch Design Week, DDA will announce the three winners. Each will receive a prize of €10,000. The award is made possible by the Keep an Eye Foundation, which supports emerging creative talent.
