Dutch Design Foundation in Eindhoven is looking for a Content Editor for 32 hours per week
We are optimists.
We believe in the problem-solving power of designers and offer them opportunities, support, visibility and a platform. By showing how designers worldwide are shaping a positive future, we strengthen their position and relevance far beyond the Netherlands. We do this through Dutch Design Week, Dutch Design Awards, Coalitions and PONT. Dutch Design Foundation is a non-profit organisation with a Managing Director and a Supervisory Board.
About the role
As Content Editor, you are the voice of Dutch Design Foundation (DDF) and Dutch Design Week (DDW) across all social media channels. You are responsible for developing content strategies, creating original posts and analysing performance to continuously optimise. You work closely with internal teams and external creators to realise strong content formats, ensuring our brand message stands out and resonates. You also monitor planning, trends and developments in social media so we remain relevant and forward-looking.
Your responsibilities
1. Content creation and editing
- Storytelling: Translate organisational strategy into a strong and consistent social media presence.
- Copywriting: Coordinate and create social media content, and write copy for save-the-dates, direct mail, service emails and invitations.
- Campaign execution: Create newsletters and direct mailings in Mailchimp or Brevo, test them and manage distribution across all DDF labels.
- Audience-focused: Ensure content connects with the diverse audiences of DDF and DDW.
- Format development: Initiate and implement new formats across image, audio (podcasts) and video.
- Updates: Keep pages up to date, from the annual calendar and participant information to specific sections such as Design Tours and DDW Young.
2. Direction
- Image editing: Curate and develop visuals that strengthen the visual identity of DDF and DDW.
- Social savvy: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of algorithms and key social platforms, and apply this effectively to content.
- Trends: Spot developments early and respond quickly with relevant content.
- Partnerships: Identify opportunities for collaboration with relevant partners and independently initiate and grow these.
- Content planning: Safeguard the content planning for DDF and DDW together with the Content Manager.
3. Performance
- Conversion and data: Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure content is measurable and effective.
- Optimisation: Use data to test new formats and improve content in collaboration with the Digital Marketing Manager.
- Webcare: Take responsibility for webcare and moderation, ensuring consistent and professional interaction with audiences.
- Capacity: Manage the content workload for both DDF and DDW and align priorities weekly within the Marcom team.
