On the occasion of the annual Royal Uitblinkerslunch, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima invited Dutch people who have distinguished themselves by a special achievement, in this case winning a Dutch Design Award.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima invited Dutch Design Awards (DDA) winners Simone Post and Peter van de Water for the honorable Uitblinkerslunch in Noordeinde Palace. Simone Post (winner in the Young Designer category) and Peter van de Water (with Gipsen winner in the Product category) were guests at Noordeinde Palace on Thursday 7 November this year.

Winning a Dutch Design Award is quite the achievement. Important criteria are that the designer distinguishes his/herself in several areas: firstly, by relevance and impact, but also by the extent to which it relates to his own field. From new crossovers and collaborations, to craftsmanship and materialization, to a stimulating approach or attractive form.
